The world’s most okayest website

Here is a picture of two of my sleepy cats because I wasn’t going to leave the stock photo.

It’s here in all it’s glory.

So I’ve been working on and off on the website since October of 2021. I am not a website developer or anything of that sort. At best I could probably earn a Windows cert for IT purposes and even then I’d have to do a good amount of studying. That being said, I think it’s aggressively okay. I know there are some issues, things spelled incorrectly, and it’s just kinda bare. It will get better with time. I’m gonna walk through a few of the important bits for our community.

A couple important features.

Its got a contact page, a newsletter sign-up, and a calendar

The contact page is more for people who don’t come to the store on a regular basis and want to ask questions. For people who are, “regulars” we still ask that you use the Facebook messanger page, phone, or come see my beautiful face. If you don’t have Facebook and don’t want to call, the contact us page is for you.

We’re going to have a newsletter! It’s going to keep people updated on the happenings of the month like product release dates and events. I will also probably be editorializing a little bit on it because I’m a nerd like that.

We also added a calendar for people to check at any time what events we have going on. I am going to try and keep just events on that calendar because if I put releases all over it, it is just going to be a mess. If you want to run an event and have it on the calendar, just let us know and we’ll work something out!

It’s got bugs, yes, but at least its not Cyberpunk 2077

A few things I already know about: In the contact us and newsletter sign up the little asterisks for required fields don’t line up. I don’t know why. I used the stock plug-ings from Boldgrid. When you click on the calendar page the range to select is kinda wonky, it does not affect functionality. If you go forward a month and back it works fine. Again, no idea, I just used the plug-in. I’m sure everyone will be lining up to let me know what I screwed up and that’s totally fine because I want it to be a good experience for people. Please expect the site to 404 quite a lot while I’m working on it over the next week. It will also do it when I add events to the calendar so please keep in mind if it doesnt load, wait a few minutes and it will come back!
