RED WEEKS ARE NO LEAGUE WEEKS.

For the Triplets rule breaker theme on April 26, we have decided to ban the following cards from being a commander: Narset, Parter of Veils Sorin Markov Niv-Mizzet, Visionary We knew that some cards would need to be banned for this theme, and these are the ones that we have come up with. If you believe any other cards should be banned as a commander for this theme please let us know.

With the recent announcement from WotC and their implementation of the bracket system for commander, we have decided to update our league rules before league starts. In the casual pods, casual decks must meet the requirements of a bracket 2 (or lower) deck. Stated simply, bracket 2 does not allow mass land denial, chaining extra turns, 2 card infinite combos or “game changers”. Additionally, a deck may only have 3 or less non-land tutors in their deck. If a deck is played and it does not meet the requirements of a bracket 2 (or lower) deck, that player will lose a point and any illegal cards will be replaced with a basic land of the player’s choice. This update does not change our previous deck building philosophy for league. By attempting to lower the power level of commander decks, we hope to obtain a more balanced and friendly environment for new players to join and compete with the more experienced players.
